Gorillas running down streets story

excerpt from denver.yourhub.com

Since most of us can’t make it to the jungles of Africa, we are bringing the jungles to Denver. Keep your eyes open because on October 22, there will be hundreds of mountain gorillas running through the streets of downtown Denver. The Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund is hosting the 2nd Annual Denver Gorilla Run at Six Flags Elitch Gardens and all participants, volunteers and supporters are helping to keep Dian Fossey’s dream alive!

Each participant receives a full gorilla suit — just in time for Halloween. The race starts and finishes with an awards ceremony at Six Flags Elitch Gardens, and all “gorillas” receive a ticket to enjoy the park’s annual Fright Fest. Each participant in the 5.6K fun run/walk will be representing an actual group of gorillas that live in Uganda or Rwanda, Africa
